More Information about Darien
The town of Darien is located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, between Norwalk and Stamford. The land in the area that would later become Darien was first cleared in 1641. The area became known as Middlesex Parish in 1737, and the town of Darien was incorporated in 1820.
Darien was the site of several raids by Tories in the American Revolution. It was a small, rural community with a population around 1,000 until the railroad arrived in 1848. Wealthy New Yorkers built summer homes there after the Civil War.
Today, Darien is a mostly residential town with few office buildings. Most residents commute to jobs in nearby New York City or work in other local cities. Residents enjoy relaxing at Darien's four parks, two public beaches, four country clubs, hunt club, and two yacht clubs.

The doorknob for the door from the garage into my house had stopped working in both directions. This is the most used door in my house, so the doorknob needed to be replaced. Gabriel came promptly at the arranged appointment time, explained the options for doorknob, and then installed the new doorknob, and then created several spare keys. He was friendly, courteous, and efficient. I couldn't be happier with the service I received
