More Information about Ansonia, CT
The town of Ansonia is located in New Haven County, Connecticut, on the Naugatuck River. The area was originally settled by English colonists in 1652. Early settlers farmed the land and built sawmills and gristmills. Ansonia was originally part of Derby but became a separate town in 1889. It was named after merchant and philanthropist Anson Green Phelps.
Ansonia is known as the “Copper City” because of its history of heavy machine manufacturing. The town is the birthplace of David Humphreys, a Revolutionary War colonel and diplomat. The annual Thanksgiving morning football game between the Ansonia and Naugatuck high school football teams is one of the most popular events of the year for both towns.

I wanted a keyless door handle lock, but with key override in case the battery was dead. Finally I found a few that were what I wanted, but wasn't sure if they would re-key to the key I have now. I called AA All American Locksmiths and they had me text pictures of the locks to Gabriel so they could tell me which ones would work. They also have ones they carry that they can install. He gave me a cost breakdown and was very transparent up front. Once I ordered the lock I picked, I called them to set up an appointment. They had an opening to come out the next day to install it. Gabriel was very helpful to explain how things work. I was having an issue with another door that I hadn't thought about/wasn't sure if it was something that could be fixed. He told me that it was something he had the tools on the truck to do and what the price would be. While he was doing that, I was able to re-key the new lock because it came with a special kit. But it was good to know that if that hadn't worked, they would have been able to re-key for me while they were there. Great service!

Cosmo performed a miracle on my metal basement door that never closed properly; he had several ideas and it worked. Then, he gave me options on the keypad lock, proceeded to install the keypad lock, gave me instructions, and left the area cleaned up.
